Cactus Mood, is a 12x18 photograph developed in the Cyanotype process from 1842. This is done by coating watercolor paper with iron salts to make it light sensitive thereby allowing me to develop a negative with the use of the sun into a positive image. Once I wash the paper it turns a beautiful Cyan Blue thus it’s name. I took this photo in Palm Springs California, my favorite mid-century destination.
